Pastor Christine M. Core
I look forward to assisting with candidacy and the SALM programs in the Oregon Synod. It is incredibly satisfying to walk with those who feel a call to serve in the ministry of the church. I will know we have been successful when those in discernment find their greatest joy in the ways they may serve others and the church.In addition to my new synod role, I am currently enjoying my service as co-interim pastor at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Portland. Fully appreciating the role of outdoor ministry in the faith development of children and youth, I enjoy supporting Camp Lutherwood where I am serving on the board of directors. I love spending time with my three daughters and their partners, along with my six grandkids, gardening, studying piano, and reading. Spending play time with my golden retriever, Barnabas, is a joy.
