Executive Assistant Position

St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Gladstone has a job opening for an Executive Assistant position. The Executive Assistant must have excellent customer service skills and must be outcome-oriented. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher and especially Powerpoint) is required, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, a professional demeanor, and discretion when working with confidential information. Being organized and managing multiple priorities efficiently is especially critical for this position.

Performs clerical duties including, but not limited to phones, faxing, photocopying, mailing, emailing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing system. Weekly duties include creation and editing of programs, flyers, and presentations.

Part-time position (20 hours/week). Specific office hours are somewhat flexible; wages dependent upon experience.

Your responsibilities will include hiring, orienting, supervising, and evaluating staff; recruiting and enrolling children; implementing a play-based curriculum (we use The Creative Curriculum ®” by Teaching Strategies®).; establishing and maintaining positive relationships with families; developing and implementing program policies for families and staff; complying with licensing regulations of the Office of Child Care; operating within an established budget; communicating with Lead Pastor, other church staff, congregation team leaders and volunteers, Congregation Council, and other community early childhood education professionals; and other duties as required.

Job Posting: Ministry Operations and Communication Manager

The Ministry Operations and Communication Manager (MOCM) will be responsible for office management and communications development that supports the ministry of West Linn Lutheran Church. This position is part-time (24-28 hours per week) with core days and work onsite and flexibility in other hours. Job Posting: Part-Time Music Director

The Music Director will be a Spirit-filled person dedicated to Planning, Scheduling and Orchestrating the musical aspects of Sunday and Mid-Week worship services, including: hymn and Psalm selection; directing the Adult Choir; recruiting, rehearsing, and directing the worship instrumentalists and vocalists. The Music Director will demonstrate successful leadership, encouragement and development of congregational singing. The Music Director will lead by example of personal Christian faith and worship. 

Job Posting: Children’s Ministry Coordinator

The Children’s Ministry Coordinator provides leadership to the people of St. Andrew in visioning, planning, and implementing our ministries for children from birth through 5th grade. The Children’s Ministry Coordinator will support other staff and congregational volunteers to provide guidance and logistical support for infant faith formation (SPLASH!), church nursery, Sunday School ministries, and other congregational activities for children.

Job Posting: Organist/Pianist

Holy Cross Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Salem Oregon currently has an opening for a part-time Organist/Pianist. We are seeking a skilled instrumentalist who is familiar with traditional and contemporary styles of music.  The desired candidate should have the ability to lead congregational singing during worship and is adaptable to the music needs of the congregation.  Familiarity with Lutheran liturgy and worship is desirable but not required.
