Faith, Sexism and Justice: A Call to Action

In her hot-off-the-presses article on Women’s History Month, ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton commended us to read the proposed social statement “Faith, Sexism, and Justice: A Lutheran Call to Action.”

The Church Council will make a recommendation on this statement during their April 4-8, 2019 meeting, but for those who want a sneak peek so you can prepare for CWA 2019, please know that the text (and proposed resolutions) is publicly available.

Sr. Clare Josef-Maier at Central Lutheran in Eugene is an author of this statement and part of the Social Statement Taskforce. She recommends to you the accompanying cover letter prepared by the Taskforce’s co-chairs.
