Creative Ministry and Delk grants postponed

The 2020 spring round of Oregon Synod Endowment grants to congregations will be postponed until further notice.

Current health concerns have closed down most congregational activities, so the types of collaborative applications that we look for will be tough to put together. And emphasis in the congregations will shift in the near term to ministries that are critical and still doable rather than project-building.

Later when we come out of this, congregations will likely have some real financial shortfalls to make up. Your Oregon Synod Endowment uses these two grant pools to provide financial support to your ministries. We will wait to see together where we can most wisely use them.

OREGON SYNOD GRANTS

Is your congregation looking for ways to fund its most creative ministry ideas?

Creative Ministry Grants allow congregations to try new ministries. These grants are typically made toward new projects or where there is a program shift or growth opportunity. The application process is simple, and individual grants may be $350 to $1,500.
Delk Grants are available for “outside our congregational box” child- or youth-focused projects. Grants are typically made toward new projects or where there is a program shift or growth opportunity.

Application deadline: Applications close Friday, April 27, 2020
