In partnership with Region 1, we are excited to announce this opportunity for continuing education! Using FaithTrust Institute 201 materials, Rev. Lynne Ogren and Rev. Grant Barnett Christenson will lead a two-day training on Zoom.

  • May 18: 8 am-11 am
  • May 20: 8 am-11 am

Boundaries training is an essential tool for maintaining healthy pastors and ministries. It offers an ongoing opportunity to acknowledge and protect the sacred in others and yourself, as well as often being expected for people entering new calls and for receiving grant funding. To meet the every 4 years boundaries continuing education expectations of the Oregon Synod, please register for both days through Northern Rockies Institute of Theology of the Montana Synod webpage. The cost is $50 which equals 6 hours of continuing education.

Day one sets the foundation of good boundaries with three sessions:

  • The Joy of Boundaries
  • Power and Vulnerability
  • Living with Healthy Boundaries: Self-Care

Day two will look more specifically at concerns related to:

  • Living with Healthy Boundaries: Internet Technology
  • Living with Healthy Boundaries: Social Media

For questions on registration, contact Jenny Kunka, director of NRIT. For questions on course content, contact Lynne Ogren or Grant Barnett Christenson.
