Special Guest Bishop Medardo Gomez of the Salvadoran Lutheran Synod
He is the shepherd for the Lutheran church in El Salvador.
He is a true minister of the love of Jesus Christ to the poor and downtrodden in Salvadoran society. Through the horrors of the civil war to the tremendous economic need and social violence in the decade since the peace accords, Bishop Gomez has boldly proclaimed that the Gospel message requires a Christian walk in solidarity with the poor.

Living Faithfully is an Intergenerational Event!
There is something for all ages. Please join us for fun, fellowship,
and growth opportunities for all.
Children: This year, Living Faithfully offers children ages 5-11 an experience of Godly Play as well as bread baking, activities and crafts. Children will join parent(s) for worship and meals.
Middle School: Youth are invited to join others from around the synod for activities, games, and conversation facilitated by staff from Camp Lutherwood.
High School: Youth will gather for their own activities and conversation around the topic of passionate spirituality. They may also participate in workshops and spiritual practices, as desired.
Middle School and High School: Bring your sleeping bag, pillow and spend the night! (Chaperones are requested for groups of five or larger from a church.)
Childcare for children ages 4 and younger is available throughout the event (with the exception of mealtimes). Meals, snacks, and care are provided through the registration of each child. Please note that all children, youth, and childcare age children are asked to register.
Passionate Spirituality Begins a New Cycle of Themes for Living Faithfully
The goal is to address one of the eight maximum leverage factors (Empowering Leadership, Gift-oriented Ministry, Passionate Spirituality, Functional Structures, Inspiring Worship, Holistic Small Groups, Need-oriented Evangelism, and Loving Relationships) presented in the Natural Church Development process. The committee’s aim is to focus on one of the these factors, enriching the process for those congregations who are involved in NCD, while addressing the subject matter independent of the process. If you are interested in having a more passionate spiritual life, we’ll see you in October!
