Commission for Congregational Ministries
The Commission for Congregational Ministries (CCM) supports, sustains, and networks synod committees, teams, task groups, and consultants to assist congregations. The areas in which it works include education, evangelism, worship and music, youth, stewardship education, global mission, care of creation, the catechumenate, small town and rural ministries, family life, ministry in daily life, social justice, lay leadership development, etc. It may also deal with ministries that focus on the special needs of women, men, youth, and older adults. The Commission, which meets quarterly, usually has about ten members, including one or two representatives of the Oregon Lutheran Youth Organization.
