As followers of Jesus each of us is called to scatter seeds that will bring forth the fruit of the gospel among the nations.

As members of the Body of Christ in the ELCA we have wonderful opportunities to respond to this call individually and through the shared ministry of our church.

Your support undergirds the many ways the ELCA is engaged in ministry throughout this land and across the world.

General ministry
Our ministries include publications (both electronic and print), resource development and distribution, and programming in the areas of discipleship, outreach ministry, cross-cultural awareness, hunger awareness , spiritual growth, leadership development, advocacy, and more. We partner with Lutheran World Relief and the ELCA Hunger and Disaster Relief programs. In addition, the Oregon Synod gives an annual gift to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for the ministries of the whole church.
